The Challenge

In light of the impact of different NS-SeC social groupings, Royal Berkshire Hospital looked to better understand future service planning needs for maternity services as well as carry out an analysis of GP locations against forecast population growth areas.

The Solution

TSM was used to define key catchment areas for Royal Berkshire Hospital and to calculate the predicted population growth of the different lifestyle groups identified.

The Result

The analysis showed 2001 – 2016 population projections of females 15-44 and further analysis gave catchment levels of predicated growth and percentage change. Royal Berkshire Hospital now has extensive intelligence to better understand future planning needs.
