Dorset FRS invest in PINPOINT

Intelligent Home Fire Safety Checks

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service has become the first ACTIVE client to install PINPOINT, a web based appication designed to intelligently manage Home Fire Safety Checks and reduce risk in the areas that need it most.

Dorset FRS (DFRS) have taken a ten user license for the new system which is set to ensure that Community Safety teams have instant access to the right data and point and click reporting tools, anywhere and anytime, to focus all prevention activity into the households that need them most.

PINPOINT will maximise the investment already made by DFRS in lifestyle data sets by sharing and embedding the strategic thinking of personnel at their Headquarters across all levels of the organisation. The system will empower colleagues at district and station levels to plan Home Fire Safety Check (HFSC) campaigns locally, but more importantly allow them to measure and understand the impact they are making on risk within the community.

It is commonly recognised amongst Senior Managers from UK Fire and Rescue Services, that as budgets tighten and central funding for HFSC is withdrawn from the CLG, that every pound spent by Fire Services must be spent wisely.  PINPOINT, like all other ACTIVE systems, has been specifically developed to provide efficiency gains by introducing a more scientific approach to working and streamlining common processes.

If you would like more information relating to PINPOINT, or a demonstration of the system please contact us using the details provided or visit http://pinpoint.activesol.co.uk
